Our Principals

William (Bill) Humphrey is a licensed CPA in Colorado. Mary (Catherine) Wynne has a Colorado Real Estate Broker’s license unrelated to this business. Catherine and Bill have also been instructors at the University of Denver Graduate Tax Program. Information on the licensing of the Principals can be found on the Colorado Secretary of State website.

IRS Disclosure

See the appropriate IRS form 5305 (account disclosures), which is the IRS disclosure document, for your plan. This document states specifically who we are, how we are required to operate, and our relationship with Mainstar.


New Direction IRA, Inc. is registered as a corporation with the Colorado Secretary of State. New Direction IRA does not sell any investments nor provide investment advice. We are not affiliated with any investment providers. As such, the SEC does not require registration or licensing with them. Due diligence of individual investment vendors and investments is the responsibility of the account holder.

Qualified Plan Provider

Our 401(k) and Solo(k) prototype plans are provided by PenServ, one of the two major qualified plan providers in the country. Our contractual arrangement with these PenServ companies allows use of their Plans as well as access to their Plan experts.


Mainstar, our custodian, requires that New Direction maintain a Fidelity Bond up to $2,000,000. New Direction IRA, Inc. also carries Errors and Omissions Insurance.
